Refresh Retail Design with Ongoing Operation
In Singapore, especially the luxurious themed malls, it is part of the tenancy agreement that the retail shop design will have to be refreshed during tenancy renewal. A tenancy cycle can range between 2-3 years, and the purpose of refreshing the outlook is so that the mall stays new and updated.
Back in Oct 2015, we complete the design and fitting out of Onsen Kiosk. The design is largely influenced by the natural flow of the shoppers, and how the salesperson is able to reach out to potential customers more efficiently.
And in Oct 2018, the kiosk is set for a new design as required by the mall. However, as the layout works perfectly for the sales team, the client has requested for the changing of the outlook only. We then started an intensive discussion and process, including showing the mall of the different phrases for the renovation. The idea is to keep the kiosk in operation the next day, without exposed raw material. The whole renovation is completed within 7 days, with the works only done at night and operation resume every day. This helped the client to save on hoarding erection cost and also not losing the potential revenue for 7 days.
